Cindy Zimmermann - Secretary & Horse Foster Home
Cindy has worked as an elementary school teacher in the Denver Metro area for nearly 20 years. She is the mother of Patrick, a 14 year old member of DHOH with autism and epilepsy. "Our family's work with the rescue horses has given new meaning and purpose to our lives," she says. "The friendships we've made through Drifter's Hearts of Hope are incredible blessings. It is pure joy to see the young people loving and working with these beautiful, gentle horses."
Cindy's son Patrick passed away in September of 2016, a tragic loss for the Zimmerman family and for all at Drifter's Hearts of Hope. Cindy continues with DHOH as a dedicated Board member and assists with writing, grant writing, and various other functions within the organization.
She has a passion for providing a loving, caring foster home for DHOH rescue horses that need a temporary safe-haven.
