Temporary hardship happens, and we want to help you and your beloved horse(s) get through unexpected tough times together. There are a number of equine serving programs in our community. Here is a list of resources to refer to if you know of or discover a horse in need:

The Fleet of Angels not only has an emergency hay bank, but they also help with disaster response, emergency event management and has a transportation network for at-risk equines.

Colorado Horse Rescue Leg Up Program

CHR provides small short-term grants available for horse feed and care to horse owners experiencing temporary hardship financial, illness, injury or natural disaster. They also accept surrendered horses from responsible horse owners who have suffered a catastrophic life event and find that they are unable to care for their horse(s).

CHRN offers a time limited “Buy Out” a program for horse owners who need to surrender an unwanted or at risk horses for foster placement, rehabilitation, training and adoption.

Financial and planning assistance available to groups interested in hosting a low cost or no cost “Operation Gelding Clinic.”
