Due to being at max capacity at our rescue with a waiting list for intakes that is also maxed out, we have decided to start a “matchmaking” program with horses living with their current owners but looking for new homes. We will be requesting a filled out adoption application for interested buyers/adopters/new owners and that information will be passed over to the current owner and we will connect you directly with them. The rest will be between you guys. DHOH is simply helping to make connections to help place the horses into good homes. If you are interested in adopting one of these sweet horses in need, please email us at info@driftersheartsofhope.org
A few things to keep in mind about this program:
A few things to keep in mind about this program:
- These horses are living with their current owners and looking for new homes
- DHOH is simply helping make the connection between the current owner and potential new owner
- You will need to fill out our adoption application if you're interested in a horse in our matchmaking program
- There is no "fee" if you move forward with one of these horses nor any compensation to the new owners, however donations to DHOH are always greatly appreciated for this program
HORSES LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME:
SUNNY
Name: “S.C. No More Clouds” (registered Jockey Club)
Age: 15 Sex: mare Breed: OTTB Height: 16.2 hh Maintenance: none Vices: none Broke to ride: yes Looking for: Sunny is looking for a gentle and quiet, english rider with soft hands. She is great and happy on the trail and is best suited for an intermediate rider with TB experience. Although Sunny hadn’t been ridden western, she would likely be fine with it. Notes from owner: Sunny is a sweet girl and loves humans. She plays with my gelding over the fence and is the boss mare in her pen of two. She currently lives in a large run with one other mare and has spent the last 5 summers in a pasture. She loves the pasture life! She can be inpatient when tied (she paws) and isn’t crazy about being groomed (thin skinned TB!) She stands well for the farrier and loads great… she loves going on trail rides! I have done minimal arena work with her. She is sound barefoot but requires shoes for trail riding. Like a typical TB, she doesn’t grow a lot of heel. Sunny is a fantastic horse and deserves a very special home. |
