Be Mine, Valentine!

Things have been BUSY at the ranch with the rescue of several new horses and the excitement of upcoming fun at our Open House this month!
For those who follow our Louisiana neglect cases, we've been busy with baby Hopeful, who is now ready for a forever, loving home ! Her mama Millie is off to professional training and will come back a whole new horse.
Of course, we cannot forget to mention that our featured horse of the month, Blizzard is absolutely amazing and she has given our volunteer riders plenty to do during the week. 

Earlier in February we rescued some beautiful rough stock horses (Hurricane and Monsoon), a nice paint gelding named Gallahad, a momma/baby pair (Contessa and Trinity), and two sorrel mares who have been neglected and are underweight. 

These awesome horses need all the love they can get this Valentine's day, as they make their way to the ranch after Quarantine and some, who are already here, receive proper care and training.  We are asking our supporters to love on these horses by donating to feed, care for and rehabilitate them fully so that they will find the perfect homes soon!  What could be better than making a rescue horse your valentine?! Why, adopting one of course! Don't forget to make an appointment to meet these lovely horses, many of whom are ready for permanent homes. Upcoming Channel 9 Feature...

DHOH will be featured on Channel 9 News again as they have invited us to do a cover story on the two new mares, Hurricane and Monsoon.  Both of these girls were bucking horses in their former life. Be sure to stay tuned for updates on the feature!
