New: Volunteer of the Month!

Beyond the call...

Meet Gina Kuttrus, (and the inspiration behind this long overdue post).  

Gina began working as a barn volunteer at King of Hearts earlier in 2017.  She and her family fell in love with the DHOH mission and decided to become more involved.  It didn't take Gina long to jump right in and take on her versatile role within the barn, helping with horses, daily chores, and coordinating schedules with other volunteers. 

​Gina and her family later decided to adopt a Drifter's Hearts of Hope horse named Thunder (pictured below) and they are a match made in heaven.  Gina puts in long hours at the barn, supporting the management of a 35+ horse operation.  

In March, she ran the DHOH tack sale and coordinated other volunteers to help make the fundraiser successful.  She is incredibly committed to our horses and dedicated to the cause.  

Gina's daughter has special needs and she has found a second family and rewarding outlet with the joy that horses bring through DHOH and the other organizations she has volunteered with. 

We are so grateful to Gina and the Kuttrus family for their dedication and support of the mission at Drifter's Hearts of Hope.
