As the Parker Christmas Parade draws near, we're getting excited about the holidays! The kids decided to include Hope, one of our rescues in the festivities. Time to bundle up, play with the horses, and enjoy the snow.

We have so much to be thankful for all year round, but this Thanksgiving is very special to us as we have just brought home a new round of rescue horses thanks to our wonderful supporters. (Turbo, our latest addition pictured below). We want to thank you all for your continued support, prayers, and well wishes as we work on re-homing these beautiful horses. On behalf of all of the DHOH members, we wish you a warm, safe, and happy Thanksgiving holiday. Peace be with you.
Yesterday, we said farewell to our ol' pal Nick the horse as he went to his forever loving home with Linnea Edwards, a dear friend of the DHOH crew. We couldn't be happier for Linnea and Nick and know that they make a great pair! Seeing Nick welcomed at his new home was truly a reminder that even if rescuing is a challenging undertaking at times, it is well worth the effort.
We're getting a new horse shelter built in the front paddock thanks to these special volunteers, and just in time for the upcoming winter months. Currently, Hope and Island reside in this particular pasture so they will soon have a beautiful new shelter to snuggle in as we approach cold weather. We are so excited about all that is happening out at the Funny Farm. |
