Yesterday, we said farewell to our ol' pal Nick the horse as he went to his forever loving home with Linnea Edwards, a dear friend of the DHOH crew.  We couldn't be happier for Linnea and Nick and know that they make a great pair! Seeing Nick welcomed at his new home was truly a reminder that even if rescuing is a challenging undertaking at times, it is well worth the effort.

We're getting a new horse shelter built in the front paddock thanks to these special volunteers, and just in time for the upcoming winter months.  Currently, Hope and Island reside in this particular pasture so they will soon have a beautiful new shelter to snuggle in as we approach cold weather. We are so excited about all that is happening out at the Funny Farm.
